One, none, 250.000

Hong Kong's record was impeccable until early June.

Let me be clear, even today the numbers, if compared to many other countries, are excellent.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, there are 22 deaths and 3000 cases. But something has changed since June and has forced the authorities to take measures we were not used to.

Gyms, private clubs, cinemas, public swimming pools and parks are closed. Restaurants can only serve takeaway food.

People wonder how it is possible, since we have all worn masks since January, we respect the rules on Social Distancing and we all demonstrate a great sense of civic duty.

So what happened?

Then it turns out that the rules apply to some less than others.

In the last 4 months, some "privileged" have been exempted from the quarantine and control test obligation.

These are the crews of the ships, those of the planes, the drivers of the trucks arriving from China, the General Managers and officials of important listed and non-listed companies, and all those who have received exemption from the government for reasons unspecified.

The total is 250,000 people!

There is only equality in law in the world, never in fact. 🤬

Wir leben alle unter dem gleichen Himmel, aber wir haben nicht alle den gleichen Horizont.
