Gentile Myrta Merlino, Ti ringrazio per l'attenzione che mi dedichi con continuità nella tua trasmissione Pomeriggio 5 su Canale 5. Vorrei con questo mio intervento correggere alcune inesattezze, fatte sicuramente in buona fede, riportate nella puntata del 16 Aprile. Se avessi dato modo al tuo pubblico di vedere l'intero mio video senza tagliare arbitrariamente dopo la prima frase, tu e i tuoi ascoltatori avreste capito, senza particolari sforzi, che io non ho fatto disquisizioni medico-scientifiche, ma mi sono solamente dichiarata favorevole alla raccolta di firme per il referendum che chiede l'abolizione dell'obbligo vaccinale in età pediatrica lasciando che siano i genitori, su consiglio del medico di fiducia, a decidere quale sia la scelta migliore per i propri figli. Non credo che in Italia sia stato tolto il diritto di opinione su un quesito referendario, e spero che non lo voglia fare nemmeno tu. Ho anche sottolineato che è compito dei medici e non mio, spiegare le ragioni del perché la vaccinazione pediatrica vada valutata individualmente dai genitori su indicazione del medico di fiducia senza che sia un obbligo indiscriminato per tutti. Non è nemmeno vero, come si dice nel servizio che hai mandato in onda, che ho chiuso i commenti sui miei profili social. Chiunque dei miei Followers può commentare e nessun commento viene censurato né cancellato. Ti faccio umilmente notare che, al contrario, l'impossibilità di commentare appartiene invece ai profili social di certi tuoi ospiti. Se i tuoi collabortori avessero letto oltre le prime tre righe, avrebbero scoperto che ho anche risposto a chi manifestava una idea diversa in merito alla libertà di scelta vaccinale. Sono pochi, ma hanno tutto il mio rispetto. Quanto al fatto che io vivendo a Hong Kong non avrei diritto di parlare su ciò che riguarda l'Italia, ricordo ai tuoi ospiti eccellenti che oltre a mio marito, tutti i miei figli hanno passaporto Italiano, che la nostra famiglia è iscritta al AIRE e quindi la mia famiglia è Italiana a tutti gli effetti.
