L'altra faccia della moda ......

Mi sono imbattuta in questo articolo su South China Morning Post e deve ammettere per onestà che sono fortemente dibattuta sulla la sua fondatezza ....

Non penso che il classy Armani, lo stravagante Versace, Dolce & Gabbana e due dei miei marchi preferiti, Hermes e Louis Vuitton, siano così naive da mentire ai loro clienti .... o lo sono? ....

In ogni caso non devono sottovalutare la promessa di Greenpeace di rilevare al mondo le aziende di moda che fanno lavorare i propri capi da fabbriche che fanno uso, nei processi di lavorazione, di sostanze dannose per l'ambiente.

Queste sostanze oltre a recare danno all'ambiente, spesso risultano rintracciabili anche negli indumenti e possono essere dannosi per la salute di chi li indossa (con effetti su ormoni e sulle funzioni del fegato).

I marchi di abbigliamento che si sono impegnati a rimuovere le sostanze tossiche entro il 2020 e che hanno evidenziato regolarmente dei progressi sono:

Adidas, Benetton, Burberry, C&A, Esprit, Fast Retailing, H&M, Levi's, L Brands, Mango, Marks & Spencer, Primark, Puma, Valentino and Zara ...

I marchi che si sono impegnati, ma che non hanno conseguito nessun risultato sono:

Nike e Li-Ning ...

I marchi che si sono rifiutati di prendere qualsiasi impegno sono:

Bestseller, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Gap, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Meter/bonwe, Only the Brave, PVH, Vanci and Versace ...

Ma rispetto dell'ambiente e tossicità degli indumenti sono solo uno degli aspetti controversi del mondo del fashion.

Human Rights Watch ha rivelato le pessime condizioni in cui sono costretti a lavorare i lavoratori cambogiani per marchi come Gap, Marks & Spencer, Adidas or H&M.

Tralascio ogni considerazione circa il livello salariale che pure meriterebbe qualche riflessione e mi soffermo su altri penosi aspetti.

Nelle fabbriche il numero di persone che sviene in un anno per mancanza di aria e ventilazione, a causa dei fumi tossici, per poca alimentazione e per mancato riposo, è ca. 2.000.

Su 60 operai, venti sono bambini che cuciono all'età di 12 anni e lavorano quanto un adulto.

Le donne in cinta, una volta scoperte, vengono subito licenziate. Sono troppo lente e vanno troppo spesso in bagno. Per questa ragione tutte cercano di nascondere la gravidanza il più a lungo possibile.

Continuo ad indossare i capi di abbigliamento che possiedo di questi marchi .... o forse non dovrei ?? ....

Viviamo in un mondo di ipocrisia assoluta. Tutti in prima fila a fare finta beneficenza,solo per aggiungere pubblicità a se stessi... Tu hai una tua linea di moda adesso ed è sicuramente pulita e onesta. Scegli HPEACE.

Ciao! Non mi si apre l'articolo. Ad ogni modo personalmente questi articoli li prendo con le pinze, poi ho bisogno di approfondire: quali sono le sostanze dannose? chi le ha descritte ? c'e' qualche pubblicazione scientifica e da parte di chi ? cosa significa " . . alcune aziende si sono rifiutare di prendere impegni"? sembra che si parli di dittatori cinici che sfruttano i clienti per far soldi. . dai, gente seria e appassionata del proprio lavoro come Armani per esempio , non credo. .

Riguardo lo sfruttamento degli operai non e' una novita', gia' negli anni 80 ci fu lo scandalo dei palloni e scarpe Naike che venivano confezionati da bambini piccoli in nazioni sottosviluppate. . purtroppo il problema sono anche le (inesistenti) leggi di questi paesi che negano qualsiasi diritto ai nullatenenti, alle donne, ai bimbi, agli anziani, cosi da permettere alle multinazionali di 'destreggiarsi' meglio. . . ma oggigiorno ci sono controlli piu' mirati, grazie anche alle associazioni internazionali che filtrano e documentano le reali condizioni di lavoro.

Detto cio', mi bollerete come una cinica, ma sono innamorata di alcuni nostri stilisti che reputo degli autentici artisti, come Armani, Valentino, Dolce e Gabbana, che adoro per le creazioni cosi intense, eleganti con gusto , raffinate e semplici al tempo stesso. . per es, le ballerine con stampe a fiori di D&G delle ultime collezioni ,mamma mia che meraviglia. . se posso permettermi qualcosa ( poco. . ha ha. . qualche jeans oppure qualche borsa negli outlet che si trova a prezzi abbordabili diciamo) , me lo compro, lo indosso e mi sento bene. . . . potete pure spararmi. .

Continua ad indossarli come hai sempre fatto finora. Sarebbe uno spreco buttarli. Poi non comperarne altri così risparmi pure!!!
