'I'd like you to give me a gift,' you said with that captivating smile. 'What?' I asked curiously.

And you, with the warm voice of someone who knows how to speak to the soul: 'Keep it for a far, far away day...'

Those words, Pippo, have become a promise. My promise to you.

Today, as the world bids you farewell, I only feel a goodbye.

Because something so bright cannot fade: it will return, in a hug, in a laugh, in a curtain that opens again.
