Dangerous for pedestrians and not.... Hong Kong, China   While reading this "screaming headline" in the South China Morning Post this morning, I was not caught off guard.....because I live here, but for other Americans and not, it might come as a shock .... "Van driver fined HK$ 4,500 over death of British cyclist but cleared of dangerous driving" .... So we now understand that a cyclist's life is worth no more than 500 euro .... Banker Colin Robertson was only 39 years old when a 55 year old van driver, Lam Wing-sang, c...

Illiterate or what?! ....   Rome, Italy   This "Selfie" rhythm, is totally getting out of hand .... I just read an article regarding 2 American tourists who carved their initials on a wall at the Colosseum .... And, shamefully, took a damn "Selfie" to enjoy what they had done .... The young women, aged 21 and 25 years of age, carved with a coin, etched a "J" and an "N", 8 centimeters high. They said that they didn't realize that defacing a 2,085 year-old relic was that big of a deal .... Now, are they jus...

Long way up, long way down ....   California Kevin Jorgeson looks up from Pitch 18 on the Dawn Wall of the El Capitan in Yosemite Park .... He and Tommy Caldwell had been attempting for 17 days, to become the first to scale the rock's 900 meter face, without bolts and other climbing tools ... Bravi!!!!!! Many thought this to be impossible ..... Remember my precious saying, "Impossible is just a slight more difficult than possible" .... It gives me a fright just looking at the photo .....   HP ...

Living inside an oyster ....   To say the exact feeling of looking at the sky, was like "living inside an oyster", would be an understatement .... The ice cold breeze that snapped at my face, ears and hands was a first. It was crispier than Cortina D'Ampezzo, one of my favourite Italian mountain towns .... The contrast between a filthy grey atmosphere created by an unbearable pollution and the humaneness of the Chinese people on the streets, made me remember how ugly an oyster is on the outside when on the insi...
