Dear Maurizio Belpietro,
I know, I know, the screaming headline should have immediately warned me:
Are you looking for La Verità (The Truth)? You will find it at your nearest Newsstand. It only costs 1 Euro.
Um, excuse me? The truth is already difficult to obtain and you Mr. Editor, are selling it for only 1 Euro.
Doubts become certainties, when I read a recent article in your newspaper by Marco Guerra.
On the other hand this happened ... More
Words fail me even though I am here giving my opinion, regarding the United Airlines flight incident the other day ...
I have taught myself to think it over and not write immediately what is on my mind....reflect, then go for it.
There are, as always, a few versions, but it doesn't make any difference. Let me give you a brief idea of what happened.
On United Airlines Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville, when all passengers had already boarded an... More
Applause for an artist, is the true climax of his/her relationship with an audience. For many, not for all.
For a few, it is even the very same reason to be an artist.
Not for me.
I like to breathe in a smile, two sparkling eyes, mouth wide open in a kind of WOW of astonishment and admiration.
I don't know why, but I just don't trust and, am suspicious of an artist trying too hard for a constant 'applause ....
The most repulsive and loathsome aspect of everything I have read these days in the Italian press, was to see a total dystonia by the entire elite of Italian journalism and without missing a beat, the Italian TV Star System, lining up against the closing of "Let's talk Saturday" (Parliamone Sabato) and a larger part of the Italian public entusiastic towards it's shut down.
I believe a question or two is necessary regarding the actual or real capability/wanting of this "self-referential ... More
In ITALY it only takes 7 minutes to lose your son and/or daughter.
The verdict from the Court of Appeals in Turin, which confirmed the adoptability of Gabriella Carsano and Luigi Deambrosis' daughter, meaning, that they can't raise their own daughter, is INHUMANE and ABOMINABLE and is the total opposite of the most fundamental of human rights.
The motivation regarding this verdict is, are you ready (?): the parent's ages (today they are 63 and 75 years of age, and, at the time of the ver... More
A few days ago I fell upon a comment by an incredulous follower of Luogocomune (www.luogocomune.net) who was flabbergasted by the images of Bin Laden, Aldo Moro, the moon landing, and by controlled demolitions, in the background, during one of my musical numbers choreographed for "Pinocchio", a song written for me by Pino Daniele, that aired on Rai 1 during the second show of Nemica Amatissima.
I must admit that the disbelief is mine!
How is this so, I have been asking myself sin... More
Dear Beloved Enemy,
The word "Trauma" comes from the Greek language (Tpaùma) and it means "wound". But, the same word in German (ein traum) means "dream" ...
In the long run, it is a matter of with which eyes (or glasses) you can look at the actual truth ...
As each and every Rose, each and every artist has his/her insect: I have the Cicada with glasses ...
Rumour has is that being certain has a touch of beauty to it; but what is totally ignored is the subtle allure of being in doubt. Believing is very monotonous, dubiety is profoundly mind-blowing.
And, it isn't a question of being modest, I believe that it is the most high-minded and noble, on the contrary, almost delirious, of our dignity.
No one believes you have the right to be at one's wit's end. I think the principle cause of our problems is that in our world today, the "stupid" ar... More
